What is Destructive Testing?
Destructive testing or mechanical testing is conducted on a component which is welded using the process to be used on the job. The component is then destroyed in accordance with the relevant standard. M-Test Mackay carries out destructive/mechanical testing for welding procedure qualifications. This covers bend test, macro inspections, nick break test, tensile test, charpy test and where required for fracture analysis.

Who is AINDT?
AINDT is the national certification body for NDT personnel Australia wide. They provide certification in accordance with AS3998/ISO9712 as well as CM personnel providing certification in accordance with ISO18436.
